Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior by Amy Hua is causing quite a stir. I had heard about this article days ago but had no interest in really reading it. Until I kept seeing it being re-posted over and over on Facebook, so I finally had to take a look.
Such an eye-opener. I was raised this way (we're Filipino). But growing up in Western society with an Asian mother was like playing a tug-o-war game of life. Now that I'm raising my own kids, I feel like I need to find a good balance between both and that's challenging, knowing I'm being judged. But should I care???
